Do you use mods that affect your leveled lists? Result: both mods populate your game with goodies, no conflict.ĭo you need a bash patch? I don't know, but you do. Load that patch after your conflicting mods. OR, you can build a bash patch which will take those two mods and find a compromise that lets them work together. If you're unlucky, your game will just CTD. Those two mods will conflict and if you're lucky, the last one loaded will always win, leaving the other one unable to populate your Skyrim game. Both of the mods affect the leveled lists in the games - say a couple of armor mods that distribute new armors throughout the game to bandits, and other npcs. Example: you install two mods (with your NMM or whatever you use). It's a tool to make mod conflicts a non-issue. Look around, there are multiple youtube vids that show how it works and how and when you should use it.ĮDIT FOR CLARITY: It doesn't need to replace your mod manager. You can find explanations all over the web actually, not just at that link. I only linked you so you can read up on Wrye Bash as they explain it pretty clearly there and you didn't get the basics from the mod description page. No, you don't need to follow the actual step installation. Is it a mod organizer that replaces NMM? Is it something else? Should I just follow the install instructions on the Nexus mod page? Do I even need this Wyre Bash? Again, very confused. I'm not wanting to replace NMM, at least not yet, plus the Legacy of the Dragon installation guide has a guide for NMM. Not only that, but it is looking more like a type of mod manager. The page you linked is telling to to do a clean install. I'm going through the guide and I soon got confused. Just remember the main thing, your bash patch needs rebuilding when you add or remove mods. That link is a good place to start, youtube is another good resource. But really, take some time and educate yourself because it does have a few other functions regarding merging esps, etc. Consider it an arbitrator for the vicious arguing your many mods are doing. Simplified, it will make your mods play nicely together and not argue about who gets to populate that leveled chest in the back of that cave you're exploring, amongst a few other handy things - mainly dealing with mods that change leveled lists, or NPCs. I jest, you should actually (as long as you're not using requiem or something) but you should take some time to understand what Wrye Bash does.
